Music Monday: She's So Fresh III (vid)
If you think there are no females representing in hip hop, then you are right...if you look at the charts, album sales or even pay attention to the "videos" played on your favorite music channel (do they still exist?) they don't. Judging by mainstream's standards they are hardly any females in hip hop. But guess what? Fuck what "mainstream" has to say about music. Especially when it comes to the female aspect in hip hop.
Truth be told the true femcees are alive, kicking and representing the essence of hip hop to the fullest. One of the best places to catch some of this raw talent is at the She's So Fresh" showcase put together by fellow femcee Bless Roxwell. As always the last showcase, held on 2/4/10, was a success with talent from the 5 boroughs and Canada blessing the mic. Check out the performers of the event below.

I hate to pick favorites but the standout of the group in my opinion is Pri The Honeydark.
Not only was this SSF 3 but it was also a birthday celebration for Invincible of the Anomolies. Check her out getting her "soul glow" on (cute that she's the only one glowing, it WAS her bday but I blame the white sweater and flashing lights)
