Cop busted in holiday date rape

A transit cop has been arrested on charges of raping an 18-year-old woman on Thanksgiving, police said Saturday.

Shawqi Ahmed, 29, was off-duty at the time of the attack, sources said.

Ahmed, who has been on the force for three years, went on a date with the woman and brought her to his Brooklyn home, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her, sources said.

The woman reported the alleged rape "a short time later" with a friend of hers, a source said.

On Friday, the NYPD's Internal Affairs Bureau collared Ahmed and charged him with rape, sources said.

Ahmed was not in custody last night and answered his phone.

"I have nothing to say," Ahmed told the Daily News. "We'll talk about it another time."

Ahmed, who is barred from approaching the young woman under a temporary order of protection, is scheduled to appear at Kings County Criminal Court to face charges on Wednesday.

Bronx NYPD cop Juan Acosta busted for role in cocaine ring

A Bronx beat cop who betrayed his badge and his long-time friend were busted Friday for their roles in a large-scale cocaine-peddling ring, the feds said.

Juan Acosta, a nine-year NYPD veteran, allegedly used a police car to rob a drug dealer of hundreds of thousands of dollars in mid-2005, authorities charged.

The 34-year-old cop, assigned to the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx, also delivered what he thought was 10 kilos of cocaine after boasting his NYPD ties would keep him clear of law enforcement, officials said.

Authorities said Acosta was paid $15,000 for his illegal courier work just two months ago.

His pal, Yorick Corniel-Perez, was arrested and ordered held without bail after an appearance Friday in Manhattan Federal Court.

The two allegedly worked as part of the cocaine operation for the last four years. Both face life in prison if convicted in the cocaine distribution conspiracy.

Acosta was due in court later Friday.
