WELCOME TO PART 1 OF MY LEAD UP TO THE BROOKLYN HIP HOP FESTIVAL ON 6/20 “THE WARM UP TO THE BURN DOWN”!

Normally I do shows on a monthly basis but for this special series I’ll be doing a brand new show EVERY WEEK leading up to the “burn down” on June 20! Each show will feature interviews with up and coming artists taking the stage at this year’s festival as well as music from all of the performers.

For the 1st installment of my series I’m talking to the man that makes the BKHHF possible executive director Wes Jackson about the new additions to this year’s festival, how he was able to make the festival bigger and better despite the crumbling economy, his pick for this year’s next big thing in hip hop and how YOU can help keep the festival going. I also caught up with a dope group of emcees, dj’s and producers brought together through their talent, love for music and employment at NYC’s Fat Beats record store, The Brown Bag Allstars. I’ll also be debuting 2 of their joints on the show as well as music from some of the other performers at this year’s festival.
