The obligatory RIP BIG post.  I REALLY miss BIG, my fav album of his hands down is Life After Death.  Can you imagine what the game would be like if he was still around???  Damn. He wasn't the pretty boy, didn't have the body builder physique and was no angel, but he was real and that's what ppl respected about him and his music.  I remember that day like it was yesterday.  It was a Sunday and I was on my way to church in a dollar cab when they announced it over the radio.  Hot 97 I believe, that he had passed.  I froze.  Couldn't get out of the cab and the cabbie didn't rush me.  We, me and the cabbie just sat for a few minutes.  In front of my church just sitting in the cab waiting for something, someone to say that what we'd just heard wasn't the truth.  When I finally got out I went into the church and told my friend at the time Sylvia what I'd just heard.  I remember saying a prayer for him and his family.
I also remember my mom not letting me go to his funeral procession in the Stuy.  She knew it was going to be crazy out there that day
