Anita Baker @ Radio City Music Hall
WOW. I've never seen her perform but I'm glad that I finally did because she is amazing!! Ole girl was an hour late and that did put a salty taste in my mouth but she's been doing this for 20+ years so I guess she gets a pass. Besides she made up for it with the show on Friday night. Anita is def a seasoned performed and a very silly person lol. She was all over the place cracking jokes interacting with the audience (BUT she did give my side of the venue the cold titty) dancing and messing with her hair lol. They were taping the show for something and she just kept messing around with her hair. She looked great for someone who is 51 years old and seem s to be in good shape judging by the way she hopped up and down the stage making it VERY hard to get a clear pic. I really only have 1 decent pic of her but oh well. She performed all the old hits that we know and love and only 1 new song that I was told is on her latest album. Overall all great show AND sexual chocolate himself Tyrese was there and performed "Lately" for the crowd. SIDEBAR: Tyrese can get it. That is all.
I managed to get some vid of the performances. If you don't know about my camera's recording ability please let me explain. My little Kodak camera take great pics if you or your subject is close, standing still in great lighting or absolutely no/club lighting. Concert settings are a no go with it. It can also take video BUT the sound quality is what you would expect coming from a camera and I can never remember where sound comes into the thing so I almost always manage to screw up a decent video by covering the sound hole resulting in decent ass footage with little or no sound. *sigh* You've been warned lol

I was at the Anita Baker Show on Friday the 13 and i thought that she was attacked by Freddie Kruger cause she was 1 hour late, kept messing with the sound engineer, kept stalling, didnt sing all of her best songs and kept complaining..i hope the next night was better. i never been to a concert where people kept walking around and leaving in droves....the show to catch is LABELLE if you want to see a show those girls really sang theyre a's off..Dont miss it..

lol @ her being attacked. She couldn't hear herself in the monitor in front of her and they didn't get her levels right until the end of the show but I thought she sounded fine. I'm not sure where you were sitting but on the floor no one left as far as I could see every seat remained filled with the exception of the few ppl getting up for bathroom breaks etc. I've actually seen Patti solo and Labelle as a group and I agree they are a great act, I'm a huge Patti fan!
