Post Weekend Randomness

Yeah that about sums it up lol.

-"Living carefree, laughing got jokes on a daily. Yall acting like some old folks yall dont hear me.  Yo I'm in my 2nd childhood" Nas
So a long time ago I promised myself that I wouldn't buy anymore Jordans.  I'm mean seriously when do you become "too old" for that stuff? I recently broke that promise.  I mean seriously the 6 Rings look so much better in person than they do on the screen.  The only reason I'm so attracted to the 6 Rings is because they combine 2 of my favorite J's.  The 11's and the 13's (both of which I owned when they first came out).  I think the last pair of New New J's (not retro) that I brought were the 17's and that was back in hs.
I already know that I'll be one of those 40 year old women still rocking Nike Dunks but I'm totally cool with that (cause I'll still look 20 lol)  Why conform to society's idea of what a "grown up" should look and dress like?  Don't get me wrong, I throw on the heels and biz suit when it's time.  My work environment is anything but the norm so no dress code is required but I step it up a bit every now and again to get the heads turning.  Ladies you know the side eye you get from these dusty hoes when your Wednesday get up puts their Mon-Fri attempts to shame. "Where she think she going?" lmao. Be who you are, don't conform.  Then you'll just be like everybody else, and who would want to be that when they could be anything else?

-Don't you hate when Sunday is the best day weather wise of the weekend?

-I brought the XXL Freshmen 10 issue (which is 5 damn dollars *sigh*).  I haven't brought a magazine in a minute.  Why bother someone will always scan it and put it on the internet for free right?  This issues feature the new crop of rappers that will hopefully change the game in 09.  I couldn't agree more.  I'm not familiar with every single person featured (still haven't found time to google Ashter Roth) but I am with the majority of them and have seen most of them perform (these guys have been tearing the city up this past week!)  The article didn't give an in depth interview with each person like I thought it would, it was more of a round table discussion with the writer throwing questions out to the group for whomever to answer, which is very wack.  If I knew nothing about Blu or Charles Hamilton or whoever, I wouldn't learn much from the article.  I think that's why I stopped buying magazines because the interviews started getting stupid and standard.  You were left with the same information about the person you were reading about that you'd started with.

-I got to meet Labelle last week and sit in on an interview with them and Out Q's Larry Flick and Keith.  One of the funniest things I've seen.  These women are hilarious.

-Oh yeah, Halloween is on Friday and I have my costume ready.

-This nigga

smh.  The nerve of this man to think no one can come in and do a better job than he has been doing.

-Don't forget Quietstorm Vol.1 is on sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Shout out to all the people who already got their copies and have been giving me great feedback!!!  I appreciate everything!!
