Subway Stories (why I hate taking the train)

I travel on the train a lot, have been since I was younger so over the years I’ve seen and been through a lot of crazy shit traveling with the good ol’ MTA.  After a recent night out w/friends while riding home in all of my tipsiness I thought of the things that piss me off about riding the train everyday.  I came up with a list lmao:
-I hate when the train is half empty and someone gets on and sits RIGHT NEXT to me.  I was recently on an EMPTY cart, a woman got on, sat across from me then got her ass up and sat in the seat right next to me! WTF?
-Even worse is when you’re on a number train or express (like the B or the N) and instead of individual seats there is 1 long row and a person thinks they can squeeze their way into a seat making everyone in the row uncomfortable, that’s enough to screw up your entire morning.
-When you yawn, cough, sneeze etc, cover you damn mouth.  I fucking hate it when someone has one of those good, I’m just waking up from 10 hours of sleep yawns without covering their mouth, disgusting.  That’s just poor home training, it’s even worse when you just so  happen to be close enough to smell what they had for lunch that day…the worse.
-Let’s get back to the space thing.  There must be some un-written rule that while on the train the whole 3 feet of personal space thing is not in effect.  Don’t get me wrong I understand that rush hour crowded is a different story, but if it’s not that crowded don’t stand close to me.  I hate ppl that I don’t know getting close to me, it freaks me out a bit.  Move the fuck over, if I can smell you or feel your body heat or hear you breath you are too close.
-1 of my personal fav’s is the person that knows there stop is coming up, has been getting off at the same stop for the past 10 years, but waits until the train has completely stopped and the doors open to jump up and rush towards the door, jerks.
-Speaking of entering/leaving the train, don’t you hate when ppl stand in front of the train doors when you’re trying to get in? Move the fuck out of the way.  I can understand if the train I ubber crowded but if it’s not (meaning there is space for you to stand other than in front of the door) why post up and profile where ppl have to pass through?  I hate it…

-The ringtone test?  Come on, have we not moved on from this? Ppl are really still playing with their ringtones out loud on the train! Smh. Nobody gives a shit that you can have 50’s whole album as your ringtone, it’s not that serious get over yourself.
-(Btw my disgust for people & the MTA is growing ever so slightly as I type this) I hate when an elderly person, pregnant woman, injured person or someone who really looks like they could use a seat gets on and everybody plays the “I’ll look to the floor and act like I didn’t see this person get on so I don’t have to give up my seat” game.  It’s even worse when a bunch of grown ass men are sitting around while pregnant women and elderly ppl are standing in front of them. Come on have some class…
-I write a lot on the train but I hate when ppl break their necks to see what I’m writing.  Mind ya damn business.
-This is classic, let’s try letting a person up before rushing to get their seat, enough said.
-How about the good samaritan that wants to hold the doors for his whole neighborhood in the morning, are you kidding?  I’ve been on trains where the conductor has taken the train out of service, literally kicked everybody off during the morning rush because some ass kept holding the doors for everybody.  It’s not that serious, there are other trains they can catch.
-Ever been on a train and had some jerk pull the emergency break? Bastards.
-I can go on for days lmao but I’ll wrap up with this stupid shit that I’ve been seeing a lot lately.  Ever get on a train with someone, ride a good 5 or 6 stops and then they ask you the dumbest shit in the world like “What train is this?” or “Is this train going to the Bronx”. Huh?  Why not ask before getting on and while you’re at it ask a damn MTA employee, I’m not on transit’s payroll so don’t ask me shit.  I can’t take it, I don’t have a car and if I did I couldn’t afford the insurance and gas so until that day comes I’ll just bitch about the sucky train lol.
