Notorious BIG Movie
So they're really going through with this movie huh? Pics from the set are starting to leak and I have to say I'm not a fan of this. Don't get me wrong I'm a die hard BIG fan (I'm from BK how can I not be) but I feel like ppl won't just let the man rest in piece. How many albums has Puff released/re released since his death? There are documentaries, mixtapes, and now a movie? It just seems too forced. Maybe it's because I really can't picture anyone but BIG himself playing him a film. Granted Jamal Wollard (I refuse to call him "Gravy") looks like him (meaning his big and dark like him) but can he really pull it off? I for damn sure can't picture Derek Luke as Puff, Angela Basset as his mom? Yeah she's a great actress I think she can swing it. Never heard of the chick playing Faith although she has done Broadway and has a myspace music page (google it) and no one has any pics of the lucky lady chosen to be Biggie's jump off (Lil Kim). IDK don't see it as me hating, I'm all for giving new actors/actresses a chance to shine and potentially change the game and I may even change my mind in a few months, but right now I just don't see it.
