I woke up this morning turned on the tv and what''s the first thing out of the reporters mouth, "Shocking confession to reporters from Gov. Paterson."  COME ON!

A WEEK after admitting that he had been unfaithful to his wife several times, New York Governor David Paterson made another confession about his past, telling a television interviewer on Monday that he had tried both cocaine and marijuana in his early 20s.

In an appearance on NY1 News, Governor Paterson said he had tried cocaine "a couple of times" when he was 22 or 23, and marijuana when he was about 20.

He said that he had not used illegal drugs since.

"I don't think I've touched marijuana since the late '70s," Mr Paterson, 53, said. "Most Americans during that period of time tried a whole lot more than that, and then gone on and led responsible lives."

Mr Paterson, who has succeeded the disgraced Eliot Spitzer, said he had answered the same way when asked about past drug use during his 2006 campaign to become lieutenant-governor.

EVERYBODY growing up in the 70's/80's were high on some kind of drugs so they can't hold that against him lol.  Let's be real what do YOU think would happen if we took every politician, government official, CIA agent, NYPD officer etc to the Maury show for a lie detector test about their past drug use?  At least the man is playing it smart and putting his cards on the table for all to see, he's admitted he made some mistakes and has moved on from them so...shouldn't the rest of the world?
